Power Evans proudly serves as Councilmember for Ward 3.

Born and raised in Winder, Evans is a true native with deep familial and community roots. His commitment to public service is a family legacy, with his mother serving as the Chief Magistrate Judge at the Magistrate Court of Barrow County and his father as the former Fire Marshall for the City of Winder’s Fire Department.

Evans' educational and professional background uniquely positions him to serve the community. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2022, earning a degree in Political Science. This educational foundation laid the groundwork for his understanding of government and public service.

Following his academic pursuits, Evans embarked on a career specializing in external affairs. His current role involves working closely with local elected officials at the state level, providing him with invaluable experience in government relations and community engagement.

As Councilmember, Evans is committed to representing the interests and voices of the residents of Ward 3. His victory in the special election fills a vacancy, and he will serve the remainder of the former councilmember's term until 2026. With a passion for public service and a deep understanding of the community’s needs, Evans is dedicated to fostering growth, development, and prosperity in Winder.

Evans’ journey from a University of Georgia graduate to a key figure in external affairs, and now to a respected councilmember, reflects his unwavering commitment to public service and community betterment.
