Jonathan Lynn was named City Administrator in September 2024. 

Lynn brings over 17 years of experience in local government management, with a record of success in strategic planning, community engagement, and organizational leadership.

As City Administrator, Lynn is responsible for the overall management and coordination of Winder's municipal services, working closely with the Mayor and City Council to implement policies and initiatives that reflect the city's vision and goals. He will play a key role in fostering economic development and ensuring the effective delivery of City services.

Jonathan Lynn holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from Georgia Southern University and is a Certified Public Manager (CPM) from the University of Georgia.

His experience includes roles in city and county management across Georgia and Virginia, where he has consistently demonstrated his commitment to public service and excellence in governance.

The position of city administrator is appointed by the mayor and council. The city administrator is responsible for directing the daily operations of all city departments and works closely with the mayor and council to ensure the vision of the City of Winder's elected officials is realized.
