BURN BAN & PERMITS
OUTDOOR BURNING BAND LIFTED ON OCTOBER 1, 2023
Beginning this Sunday October 1, the outdoor burning ban will be lifted until April 30, 2024. Anyone living in The City of Winder city limits who would like to burn will need to obtain a 2023 burn permit.

Permits can be obtained at Station 1, located at 96 North Broad Street, at no charge. Once a permit is obtained, citizens will still need to call Station 1 for permission to burn at 770-867-3212, for each day they'd like to burn (this is based on daily weather conditions).

Citizens are also responsible for following the outdoor burn regulations set forth by the Georgia Environmental Protection Division. State Codes and Standards Enforced by the Winder Fire Department
