White's Mill Park

In the late 1800s grist mills were an essential part of life for a Georgia settler. They represented a thriving economy, a sustainable source of grain production and in essence drove economic development for a town.

The former mill, located along the Cedar Creek, known as White’s Mill was a hub of industry and an epicenter of factories locating in the area. Now, two hundred years later, the large mill has vanished, but Cedar Creek continues to flow and the memory of the former mill remains. This newly revitalized hiking trail is located between Highway 53 and Miles Patrick Road and is situated on 270 acres owned by the City. The area once served as part of the City’s wastewater treatment operations, but the recent transformation will make the park accessible to hikers, bikers, and non-motorized vehicles.
