Winder Fire Department 5th Annual Golf Tournament

Help us "Give Burns the Boot" by participating in our 5th annual Golf Tournament at The Chimneys Golf Course on Wednesday, August 19, 2020. Sign-in at 8 AM, Shotgun start at 9 AM.

It is a 4 player scramble with awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams as well as longest drive and closest to the pin. Lunch will be provided by Zaxby's. Please see our flyer for more information or contact Firefighter Cory West at (770)307-7577 or cory.west@cityofwinder.com.

Proceeds go to benefit the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation which is an organization that provides camp at no cost to burn injured children and their sibling(s). Eligible campers are Georgia residents age 7 to 17 who sustained a burn injury that required treatment or hospitalization at a burn center, along with their siblings. Camp OO-U-LA is held at Camp Twin Lakes in Fort Yargo State Park, Winder GA.

Camp offers burn injured children and their siblings opportunities to grow together in their recovery both physically and emotionally and in their relationship with one another, all while experiencing the fun, friendships, and freedom that you can only find at camp!

Campers will also have the opportunity to connect with a support group of peers who have similar stories and similar scars both seen and unseen to learn ways to process, talk about, and cope with their challenges and feelings.
