Public Notice

Diconnection Notices - As of May 1, 2008, the City of Winder will no longer mail out a separate disconnect notice. All charges are due by the due date. Any past due balances are subject to disconnection and a $50.00 service fee. No other notice will be sent. Information regarding your due date, billing inquiries and disconnection procedures are listed on the front and back of your regular monthly billing statement.

Water Conservation Surcharge - The Water Conservation Surcharge will apply to all accounts as follows for the billings in the months of June, July, August, September and October:
   For usage greater than 10,000 gallons and which exceeds
   average winter (January, February and March) usage as follows:
      First Tier: Greater than 125% but less than 200% of average winter
      usage: $6.00 per 1000 gallons
      Second Tier: Equal to and greater than 200% of average winter usage:
      $8.00 per 1000 gallons

City Hall Customer Service - As of July 1, 2008, the City of Winder will be processing all payments using the Check 21 guidelines which allows the original check to be converted into an electronic image or "substitute check." For more information, call City Hall at (770) 867-3106.
