STAFF: With an ever-increasing schedule of events - both public & private - being held at the Winder Cultural Arts Center, it is necessary to have some "back-up" support to help ensure that each & every event runs smoothly and successful. It could never happen without the assistance and support of our Technical Assistants and Intern:
Pam Veader - Technical Assistant: A State Farm Insurance Agent in Winder, Pam is the past-President and current treasurer for the Winder-Barrow Community Theatre and was a founding Board Member. She can often be found in the booth running sound and/or lights for various productions. In 2011, the Barrow County Chamber of Commerce selected her as the Barrow County Business Woman of the Year for her work throughout the City and the county. Pam has two sons and four grandchildren and lives in Bethlehem.
Jenni Overbey - Technical Assistant: Jenni has appeared on stage in several Winder-Barrow Community Theatre productions as well as working behind the scene as Assistant Director, Stage Manager, Light/Sound Board Operator, Running Crew, Costume Dresser and general “go’fer” for numerous productions. Jenni is a paralegal with a firm in Lawrenceville, and she and her husband Tery live in Winder.
Sarah Dove - Theatre Intern: An Apalachee High School Senior, Sarah has been participating in theatre since her Freshman year. She has filled a wide range of technical positions, from running crew to board operator to Stage Manager and even Assistant Director, and has worked a variety of shows from Oklahoma!, Alice in Wonderland, and Once Upon a Mattress. Upon graduation, Sarah plans to study Technical Theatre at Gainesville State College.
VOLUNTEERS: The Winder Cultural Arts Center could never hope to offer top quality performing arts productions without the help of our many volunteers. At any given moment we have painters, carpenters, sweepers, servers, ticket takers, ushers, stagehands and technicians - mostly working behind the scenes, doing those myriad small tasks that make the large tasks look easy. These folks are your neighbors and friends and they all work hard to ensure that your visit to the Cultural Arts Center and the Colleen O. Williams Theater will be a memorable one.
You know each and everyone of these special people, so please remember to say thank you next time you see one of our valuable "invisible" staff.
