The Winder Fire Department operations division is responsible for answering emergency calls within the city limits of Winder. This division responds to over 1000 emergency calls a year.  Additionally, response is made to non emergency calls to assist our citizens. Operations consist of 2 strategically located fire stations, 3 engine companies, one ladder company, one rescue company, and one special response unit.

Engine 1 (8156) Engine 1 is a 2005 Sutphen Shield Two Series pumper with a 1500 g.p.m. Hale pump. 
Engine 1a (8076) Engine 1A is a 1986 E-One pumper with a 1250 g.p.m. Hale pump.
Ladder 1 Ladder 1 is a 2008 E-one 75' Quint with a 1500 GPM Hale Pump.
Rescue 1 Rescue 1 is a 2007 EVI Ford F550 Rescue Truck.
Winder 203 Winder Unit 2 is a 2007 Ford E350SD Commercial Cargo Van. (Emergency Response Van)
Rescue Trailer Emergency Response Trailer is a 2007 Horton Trailer.  This is a technical support trailer equipped with 1st responder equipment and supplies.

Engine 2 Engine 2 is a 1999 Freightliner/E-one pumper with a 1250 g.p.m. Hale pump.
Boat 2 Boat 2 is a fourteen (14) foot flat bottom boat. Boat 2 is used for open water rescue at Fort Yargo  State Park and other surrounding bodies of water.
